Description
Sideboard designed by Lam Lee for Lam Lee Group in the 1980s. Blending functional storage with a bold sculptural presence, the piece reflects a clear influence of the Memphis movement.
The design features a high-contrast composition of black and white striped elements, enriched with textured surfaces and subtly patinated finishes. The top is silver-plated, adding a refined reflective contrast to the more graphic and textured body of the piece.
A rare feature of this sideboard is its fully finished back. Unlike most sideboards intended to be placed against a wall, this piece is designed to be viewed from all sides. This allows it to function freely within a space, making it suitable as a room divider or central sculptural element in open-plan interiors.
A collectible statement piece that bridges functional furniture and postmodern artistic expression.
